Many of you may remember the Lifestyle session give away several months back. I asked my fans to submit a family photo and then I would select one family to receive a free in home lifestyle session. I haven’t done a lot of lifestyle photography outside of my own home so I wanted the opportunity to gain some experience in this area. As I reviewed the entries I kept coming back to the Wright Family. With four children, two of them being twin three year old girls, they were exactly what I was looking for. I had a vision in my mind of the twins in the kitchen mixing cookie dough, playing with flower and just having the best time. After talking to Jill about my idea she agreed that the girls would love it so that is what we planned to do. I wanted the girls to wear cute little aprons while baking so I asked my very talented friend Becky at Hucklebuckles to make them. They came out soooo precious!
To be completely honest I wasn’t sure what to expect that day. I had about 2 – 2.5 hours to spend with them and I wasn’t sure how long the cookie baking portion was going to take. It turns out that that took up most of our time but that is okay because I love those images. The girls loved it too and we still had a little time to play outside and take some great family shots on mom and dads bed. The experience was really great and I had the best time with this family. They welcomed me right in their home and I felt so comfortable.
If you are looking for something a little different than the normal posed family session give a little thought to a lifestyle session. I would love to capture those raw, everyday emotions and memories and give you something that you will cherish for years to come. I hope you enjoy these images from my day with the Wright Family. :)
