Lisa and Chris are a beautiful couple, inside and out. I have known them for several years now and they are truly a joy to be around. When they asked me to photograph their wedding I was honored and so proud to do it. Lisa is so laid back and positive all of the time so the wedding day went very smoothly. I started photographing her and the bridesmaids at her and Chris’s new house. She was so excited that they were able to get moved in before the wedding! Ray (my amazing husband/second shooter!) headed over to where the guys were getting ready and then we all met up at Vintage Court before the ceremony. It was a beautiful outdoor ceremony, although quite a bit chilly! After the ceremony and formal portraits it was time to party, and party they did! We had such a blast celebrating with them and wish them all of the love and happiness they can stand. ;) Congratulations guys, we love ya!
I ask all of my brides to tell me a little about themselves and their groom, how they met, what they love most about each other, etc. Here are a few words from Lisa. ♥
How did it all begin?
We met at work, Santa Fe. We worked there together.
Where was your first date? What did you do?
We went to eat at the Melting Pot. And walked around the French Quarter/ New Orleans/ River walk.
When did you know that he was the one?
As soon as we started dating I knew he was the one. We were friends for a while before we started dating and I just knew we would get married. He has always treated me like a princess. When ya know, ya know. I guess! lol
When/how did you get engaged?
We got engaged August 1, 2013 in Georgia on my family’s vacation. Some how he kept it a secret from me but my entire family knew and was there. It was on a waterfall “Minnehaha Falls” that I have be in LOVEEE with since I was a kid. We have gone to this same place since I was 7. In my opinion it’s the most beautiful place I have ever been.
What are your favorite things to do together? hobbies?
We LOVE going out to eat and going on dates. We both enjoy watching sports together. We enjoy shopping for décor for our house together. SURPRISINGLY, he has an opinion on house things. We like being outdoors. And we LOVE the BEACH!!
Any funny stories about yourselves?
On our honeymoon we went Zip lining and I thought I was going to have to carry Chris back. He was as white as a ghost and was shaking. He is terrified of heights. Chris loves singing Reba loud and that’s always really funny.
What kind of job do you both have?
Chris is in Sales. I am in Accounting.– just got a new job by the way!
What things do you love most about him/her?
I always have so much fun when I am around Chris. He makes me laugh more than anything. He is very selfless and always puts me in front of himself. He would do anything to make me happy and he helps me achieve all things. He encourages me to make the best decisions in life and to make Godly decisions.
