Sweet Darby was a dream to photograph!  I am so happy that her parents chose me to photograph her first year.  Looking forward to seeing her adorable face again in a few months! :)

Eric and Blair were married at Carter’s Plantation this past November surrounded by their family and friends.  The day was perfect with excitement and laughter everywhere we went.  When I arrived Blair and her bridesmaids were getting ready in one of the Villa’s.  They cut up and had fun while I photographed the wedding details and then focused on the beautiful bride.  The girls all looked beautiful and Blair was stunning!  The ceremony was beautiful and I teared up when they did they braided their ropes together.  What a beautiful tradition!  After the ceremony they danced the night away at the reception and just had the best time. They were sent off with sparklers galore and then spent their honeymoon in beautiful Canada!

Here are a few words from the bride about how they met and got engaged. ♥

Eric and I met online. I was in nursing school and working when I didn’t have to be at school so it was hard to meet people since I wasn’t a going out type. He messaged me that I was the most beautiful girl and from there we began exchanging messages.

It was at a Mexican restaurant called Adobe. I was smitten with him from the first date. There was something about him that kept me intrigued and wanting to know more.

I was hooked within the first month. We went on a date to dinner I had called him ahead of time telling him I’m sunburnt and not putting on makeup but I still want to see him. He told me there that I never have to wear makeup because I’m just as pretty without it.

We went on a family vacation in May 2015 to Panama city Beach. When all the family arrived we went enjoy laying out on the beach and getting in the water. I was taking a break and lounging on the chair when Eric told me he wanted to go in the water with me. Then as we approached the water he wrote in the sand will you marry me and got down on one knee.

We love to go hiking, taking vacations especially cruises. We both like our share of games. I’m more of the board game and Eric loves all kinds of computer games. We enjoy spending time with family as much as we can. We both come from pretty decent sized families and we love it.

We have a doberman pinscher Chloe- she actually hated me when I came along because she is territorial and I was coming in on her territory

He’s a maintenance tech for Charter working on the main lines and I am a Registered nurse at North Oaks.

So happy to share sweet Ella Grace’s newborn session with you all!  She was such a joy to photograph!  ♥

I can’t believe a whole year has flown by already.  It seems like just yesterday that I first met Kaison and his mommy.  For the past year I have gotten to photograph Mr. Kaison every three months and he never dissapoints.  He is always full of smiles and good times.  I absolutely adore his little airplane theme for his birthday party.  His mom outdid herself on his banner!  As sad as I am to see Kaison “graduate” from the Grow with Me plan, I know I will see him soon.  I’ll be photographing his mommy and daddy’s wedding in just a few short weeks!  Can’t wait! :)

I had a really really hard time deciding what to post from his session so please forgive the picture overload! ♥

What do you get when you put together a surprise birthday party, margaritas, a taco truck and an engagement ring?  An epic wedding proposal!  I am so excited to share Ashby & Steven’s beautiful proposal!

Steven’s mom and I go waaaaay back so when she called me to see if I could photograph their proposal I knew I had to be there.  Ashby was told that they were going out to a fancy dinner for her birthday so her BFF did her hair and makeup and her friends helped her pick out the perfect outfit.  Steven told her they had to stop by a family friends house for a get together on the way to dinner but they wouldn’t stay long.  To Ashby’s surprise she walked into a room full of her family and friends wishing her a happy birthday!

But wait, that wasn’t all…they told her they had one more surprise for her on the back patio so they blindfolded her and headed out back.  That is where we were with a pretty nervous Steven down on one knee ready to propose with his grandmothers wedding ring.  There wasn’t a dry eye in the house as Ashby’s blindfold was removed and she realized what was happening.  What a beautiful moment it was!  She was even more surprised to then look around and see even more of her friends and family waiting to celebrate with them.  Once all of the initial excitement died down, the music came on and the margaritas started flowing.  There were also yummy tacos and tamales to be had from a taco truck that Steven’s mom arranged because Ashby loves tacos!

It was a perfect day for a perfect couple.  I am so happy for you guys and I can’t wait for the wedding!  Congratulations! ♥
