There are sessions that mean so much more than just beautiful photos, and this one has my whole heart. I had the absolute joy of photographing a maternity session for Blake, the beautiful mama-to-be, who just so happens to be the daughter of one of my very best friends.
Blake and her husband Stephen are expecting their first baby, sweet baby Maxwell, and although they live in Colorado, we were lucky enough to sneak in this special session while they were visiting Louisiana. The timing couldn’t have been more perfect.
Blake was absolutely glowing. There’s something magical about photographing a first time mom, and capturing her excitement, love, and quiet strength made my heart so full. Stephen was right by her side, beaming with pride and soaking in every moment. These two are already such a great team, and little Maxwell is one lucky baby boy.
Watching my dear friends excited with anticipation for their new grandson fills my heart with joy. Sessions like these remind me why I love what I do. These are the moments we never want to forget.
